• Your name, email address, shipping address and — if you fill it in — your phone number
• What you ordered, the bike you told us about and the amount
• Any note you left with your order
• A payment reference from Mollie, so we can look up or refund a payment
• If you write a review: your rating and text, plus your first name and the initial of your last name

We never receive your payment details. Your account and card numbers go straight to Mollie — we never see them.

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics: how many people view which page, and which site they arrived from. It works without cookies and without a profile following you across other sites, so there's nothing we need to ask you about that.

We also advertise on Facebook and Instagram. If you agree to that, Meta sets a cookie and learns which pages you viewed and whether you ordered — and when you order, we send your details encrypted, so Meta can match without ever seeing your email address in readable form. That data goes to the United States. Say no and none of it happens: the pixel doesn't load and we send nothing. You can change your mind at the bottom of any page under 'Cookie preference'.

To fill and deliver your order — that's us performing our contract with you. For invoicing and VAT returns, the law requires us to keep records. For handling questions and warranty claims, we have a legitimate interest.

Only with the companies we need to get your order to you. They aren't allowed to use your data for anything else.

Our website, database and email all run inside the European Union. We don't sell your data, and we don't hand it over for advertising.

We keep order and invoice records for seven years, because the Dutch tax authority requires it. Email about an order is deleted after two years. If you only asked a question without ordering, that's gone within a year. A review stays up as long as it's on the site; email us if you want it taken down.

You can ask what data we hold about you, and have it corrected, deleted or transferred. You can also object to us processing it. Email bestellingen@flareguard.nl and you'll hear back from us within a month.

If we can't work it out together, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
